Hive Beach Arts Project 2012
Storyweir: A New Arts project invites local people to share their experiences of living near Hive Beach.
This spring and summer a group of artists (called Proboscis) are talking with scientists and local people on Hive Beach to capture stories experiences, myths, tales of working lives, fossil hunting and folklore to explore how the human story of the Jurassic Coast and the physical geography influence each other. During the summer Proboscis will bring the stories and science in a temporary artwork at Hive beach.
Gary, Alice and Stefan (from Proboscis ) will be around on Hive Beach at various points over the next few months and extend a warm invitation to villagers from Burton Bradstock to come and meet us for a chat.
Saturday 19 May and Sunday 20 May 10am-4pm at the Spring Tide Festival
28 July - 9 September on the beach

The project is a partnership with Bridport Arts Centre, PVA Media Lab, the National Trust and Hive Beach Cafe. It is part of Ex Lab, a visual arts project responding to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site in 2012. Funded by Arts Council England and West Dorset District Council.
